Janssen Animal Health has recently introduced Maprelin® for stimulating oestrus in gilts and sows to improve reproductive performance in the herd. Maprelin®, which contains a new active molecule, Peforelin, is a FSH specific gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH). A single, low volume injection of the ready-to-use solution induces oestrus in sows after weaning, and in sexually mature gilts where oestrus has been synchronised with Regumate® Porcine. Regumate® Porcine and Maprelin® complement each other under the new Synchoris® reproductive management portfolio. Janssen Animal Health also leads the field in parasite treatment and control with Flubenol® for in-feed, Solubenol®, the first soluble benzimidazole, for in-water medication and Qualimec® Injection. Stresnil® is available for sedation of aggressive / restless gilts and sows or for pigs when mixing or moving. Maprelin contains 75µg Peforelin/ ml POM-V. Regumate contains 0.4% w/v altrenogest – POM-V. Flubenol contains up to 5% flubendazole w/v – POM-VPS.Solubenol contains 10% w/v flubendazole – POM-VPS.
